Kevin Wetmore is a Professor of Theatre Arts at Loyola Marymount University (LMU), affiliated with the College of Communication and Fine Arts since 2005. His expertise spans Japanese theatre, African theatre, Shakespearean works, and stage combat. He emphasizes global theatrical practices and critical cultural analysis in his teaching, offering courses like 'Stage Combat,' 'The Witch on Stage,' and 'Stage Fright: Horror and Terror in the Theatre.'

- M.A./Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of Pittsburgh

Research & Creative Work: Wetmore focuses on cross-cultural performance dynamics, the role of fear in theatrical storytelling, and pedagogical approaches to global theatre. As Artistic Director of LMU’s Shakespeare on the Bluff festival, he revitalizes live theatre experiences, emphasizing audience interaction. He also directs LMU’s MFA Program in Performance Pedagogy, blending scholarly and practical training.
