Jim Hollar

Jim Hollar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), affiliated with the College of Education. He joined UNK faculty in 2024. His research focuses on Multicultural Education, Curriculum Development, and Social Justice in education. He holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Multicultural Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2013), an M.A. in Afro-American Studies (2010), and a B.A. in Creative Writing with a Social Justice minor from Beloit College (1996). He also holds teaching certification in English/Language Arts for grades 9-12 from Wisconsin (1999).
