Jim Harris is a Teaching Curator at the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford, where he leads academic engagement programs funded by the Andrew W Mellon Foundation and the Barrie A and Deedee Wigmore Foundation. His work bridges art history, museum pedagogy, and interdisciplinary education.
His research focuses on the artistic and material practices of late-medieval and early-Renaissance Europe, particularly sculptural polychromy and object-based learning. He explores how museums can democratize education through object interrogation and inclusive teaching.
