Jillienne Haglund is Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Peace Studies at the University of Kentucky. She holds a PhD from Florida State University and completed postdoctoral research at Washington University in St. Louis.
Her research investigates human rights enforcement mechanisms, regional court effectiveness, international institutional design, and women's rights protections. She specializes in quantitative analysis of legal compliance and institutional impacts.
Publications demonstrate methodological innovation through original dataset development (WR2D2, WRCD) that enables systematic analysis of human rights recommendations. Current NSF-funded research examines compliance with rights regimes across Europe.
