Jeff Ehrlich serves as Adjunct Professor of Law at St. Thomas University College of Law while maintaining an active legal practice as partner at McGuireWoods LLP in Washington, D.C. He specializes in high-stakes regulatory investigations and enforcement actions for financial-services companies before federal agencies, state attorneys general, and self-regulatory organizations.
His educational credentials include a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Michigan. Professional expertise spans Consumer Finance, Regulatory Law, and Financial Services Compliance, with deep experience in multistate enforcement trends and broker-dealer issues derived from nearly three decades of government and private-sector work.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers, he contributes to industry discourse through Law360’s Editorial Advisory Board for Consumer Protection since 2024.
Prior government roles include deputy enforcement director at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, and assistant county attorney for Miami-Dade County.
