Jill E. Hobbs is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Saskatchewan. She holds Fellowships and Honorary Life Membership from multiple agricultural economics societies. Her research focuses on agri-food supply chains, consumer behavior, and food policy, with particular emphasis on traceability systems, supply chain resilience, and regulatory frameworks for novel food technologies.

Notable awards include the University of Saskatchewan Distinguished Professor title (2024), Honorary Life Membership in the International Association of Agricultural Economists (2024), and two Canadian Agricultural Economics Society Publication of Enduring Quality Awards (2016, 2019). She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in agri-food marketing and agricultural systems.
