Jill Ciment is a Professor at the University of Florida, teaching graduate and undergraduate creative writing workshops. She is renowned for her literary works, including novels such as Heroic Measures (a Los Angeles Book Prize finalist), Act of God, and The Body in Question, a memoir. Her short stories and novellas are collected in Small Claims. She co-authored the thriller The Hand That Feeds You with Amy Hempel.
