Jieun Lee is a Research Fellow in the Hubert Department of Global Health at Emory University. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), an MS in Mathematics (Statistics-Applied), MA in Economics from Ewha Womans University (South Korea), and a BA in Economics. Her research focuses on econometric methodologies and health policy, particularly spatial/spillover econometrics, predictive AI, and chronic disease management. She also explores transnational cultural narratives through theater and performance studies, analyzing diaspora identity formation and gender dynamics in Korean contexts.
