Jie Yan

Dr. Jie Yan is a Professor of Strategy and Technology Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) in France. He serves as Academic Director of GEM's DBA programs since 2006, managing collaborations with institutions like Tsinghua and Tongji Universities in China. His career includes strategic leadership roles in China development and international partnerships, focusing on collaborative degree programs and executive education initiatives. With a PhD from Hull University and degrees from Tsinghua, he bridges academic and practical expertise in technology management and innovation strategies.

Jeff's research focuses on innovation strategies, internet-based business models, and technology adoption patterns in China. Over 40 doctoral candidates have been supervised under his guidance. His work appears in journals like R&D Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and International Journal of Technology Management.

He has pioneered strategic partnerships in China through exchange programs, dual-degree collaborations, and executive training for universities. Current priorities include expanding international student recruitment via innovative program models (e.g., 2+2, 3+2) and developing short-term executive education programs.
