Jessica Levin

Jessica Levin is a Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor of Law at Seattle University School of Law and Director of the Center for Civil Rights and Critical Justice. She teaches the Civil Rights Clinic and focuses on civil rights litigation addressing structural inequality, racism, and bias in criminal and civil law contexts. Her work includes direct representation and amicus curiae advocacy in state and federal courts.

Education: BA in Comparative History of Ideas & European Studies from the University of Washington (2003), JD from Seattle University School of Law, magna cum laude (2008).

Research interests include racial justice, juvenile justice reform, and systemic discrimination. Her advocacy emphasizes fair cross-section jury representation, racial disparities in sentencing, and equitable family regulation systems. She has authored briefs in landmark cases such as State v. Rivers and In re Dependency of K.W., advancing constitutional arguments to counter systemic racism.

Professional Experience: 10 years at the Korematsu Center for Law and Equality, judicial clerkships, and private practice in commercial litigation. Currently leads the Juvenile Justice Subcommittee of Washington's Racial Justice Task Force 2.0.
