Jessica Legge Muilenburg

Dr. Jessica Legge Muilenburg is a Professor and Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Assessment in the Department of Health Promotion & Behavior at the University of Georgia's College of Public Health. Her work focuses on eliminating health disparities in vulnerable populations, particularly adolescents, racial/ethnic minorities, and individuals in substance abuse treatment. She leads NIH-funded research on relapse prevention and the role of social networks in alcohol treatment outcomes.

Her research emphasizes implementation science in addiction treatment settings, including studies on smoking cessation programs in drug and alcohol treatment centers. She has secured funding from NIAAA and NIDA, demonstrating expertise in behavioral theories applied to risky behaviors.
