Jessica Allen Hanssen is a Professor of English subject pedagogy at Nord University's Department of English, serving as faculty coordinator for the Bachelor of English and One-Year Programmes. Her academic focus spans American literature (19th/20th century), narratology, YA fiction, and middle grades education. She has received the 2021 Accredited Teacher distinction and the 2014 Nord University Outstanding Learning Environment award.
Her research bridges literary analysis and pedagogy, emphasizing critical reading strategies in Norwegian curricula.
