Sine Bjerregård Hanssen

Sine Bjerregård Hanssen is an Associate Professor at DMMH, affiliated with the Department of Pedagogy. Her work focuses on leadership, diversity, and sustainability in educational contexts.

Her research explores leadership in early childhood education and care (ECEC), with a focus on the paradoxes of balancing internal and external demands in kindergartens. She investigates how leaders navigate sustainability and multicultural perspectives within educational systems.

The 2023 doctoral dissertation Kindergarten leadership between the inside and the outside highlights her contributions to understanding leadership practices in ECEC. Her work integrates qualitative methodologies and sociocultural frameworks.

She is currently involved in the ongoing project Learning to lead, which examines how multicultural and experiential knowledge can enhance leadership for sustainability in ECEC.
