Jesse Thistle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities at York University and Coordinator of the Indigenous Studies Program. He holds a Metis heritage and is affiliated with the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. His research focuses on Indigenous homelessness, historical trauma, and social policy. He has contributed to defining the National Definition of Indigenous Homelessness in Canada while serving as a Resident Scholar at the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness.
