Dr. Robert L.A. Hancock (he/him/his), an Indigenous (Cree-Metis) scholar at the University of Victoria, serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology within the Faculty of Social Sciences. His work bridges anthropology, history, and Indigenous studies, focusing on Indigenous-state relations, Métis identity, and the historiography of anthropology.

- PhD and MA from University of Victoria, BA Honours from McGill
- Postdoctoral fellowships in First Nations Studies and Anthropology
