Cheryl Cowdy is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program Director in the Department of Humanities at York University. Her office is located at 204 Vanier College and she can be contacted via extension 77021.
Research examines representations of childhood in Canadian print culture, with particular focus on settler-colonial and Indigenous perspectives. Additional research explores transmedia storytelling for young audiences and psychogeographical relationships between suburban spaces and subjectivity in Canadian literature.
Educational background includes:
- PhD in English Literature from York University
- MA in English Literature from Carleton University
- BA in English & History from University of Toronto
Currently accepting new graduate students for supervision.
