Jesse Pappas

Jesse Pappas is an Assistant Professor of Engineering and Society at the University of Virginia's School of Engineering and Applied Science. As Co-director of UVA's Engineering Character Strength Initiative (ECSI), he focuses on cultivating ethical presence and creating shared value in sociotechnical systems. His research bridges social psychology and engineering, examining topics like ethical decision-making, team effectiveness, and sustainable behaviors in technical contexts.
