Professor Jesse O'Hanley is the Interim Dean of Kent Business School and holds a professorial position in Environmental Systems Management at the University of Kent. He leads research in optimization and simulation for environmental management, facility location, and logistics. Previously, he served as Director of Research and Innovation and Head of the Department of Analytics, Operations & Systems at KBS. His affiliations include the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) and the Global Challenges Doctoral Centre (GCDC).
- Education: BSc Biological Sciences (Stanford), MSc Engineering-Economic Systems (Stanford), PhD Environmental Science (UC Berkeley).
- Research Interests: River connectivity restoration, nature reserve selection, robust facility networks, climate change impacts, and operational research applications.

- Key Projects: Prioritization of river barrier removals, Port of Dover traffic simulation, Eurostar operational analysis.
