Dr. Holly Harris is an Associate Lecturer in Environment and Conservation at the University of Kent's Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE). Her research integrates environmental anthropology, ecology, and conservation social science to address biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, and socio-cultural dimensions of human-environment interactions. She holds a PhD in Ethnobiology from DICE, focusing on human-plant relationships in southeast England's coastal landscapes.
Her professional work includes collaborations with Forest Research on farmer socio-cultural values for tree-planting strategies, and evaluations of nature-based interventions for health/wellbeing with local community organizations. Dr. Harris teaches modules such as Academic and Research Skills, Wildlife Conservation and Management, and Key Issues in Conservation Science.
