Jesse Meijers is an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University's Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance, affiliated with the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology. His research focuses on forensic neuropsychology, examining how imprisonment affects brain functions related to self-regulation and recidivism. He also works as a clinical psychologist at the Zaanstad Judicial Complex (DJI), where he conducts neuropsychological diagnostics and supervises research.
