Jeroen Custers

Jeroen Custers is an experimental physicist at the Magnetism Research Group, Department of Condensed Matter Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. He joined in 2011 following a doctoral position at the Max Planck Institute of Chemical Physics of Solids and TU Dresden (under Prof. Frank Steglich), a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Tokyo's ISSP (Prof. T. Sakakibara), and an assistant position at TU Vienna's IFP (Prof. S. Bühler-Paschen).

His research explores quantum phenomena in strongly correlated electron systems, with expertise in:

• Heavy fermion compounds and Kondo lattices
• Novel quantum phases (unconventional superconductivity, non-Fermi liquids, topology)
• Experimental techniques: electrical transport, magnetic, and thermal measurements at ultralow temperatures (<1K) and high magnetic fields (>10T)
