Jeremy Woolley

Associate Professor Jeremy Woolley serves as the Director of the Centre for Automotive Safety Research (CASR) at the University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. He has over two decades of expertise in road safety research, focusing on critical areas such as infrastructure, intelligent transport systems, traffic modeling, enforcement, regulation, speed management, heavy vehicles, and countermeasure evaluation.

Jeremy actively engages in knowledge transfer initiatives, collaborating with road agencies, local governments, and stakeholders to integrate best practices in safety. His policy influence is notable, including co-chairing the 2017 inquiry into the National Road Safety Strategy 2011–2020 alongside Dr. John Crozier, with outcomes presented to Federal Parliamentarians in 2018.

At CASR, he leads a team dedicated to eliminating harm from road transport through crash investigation, vehicle testing, and data analysis. His work bridges research and practical application, emphasizing strategic road safety improvements.
