معرفی
Georgia Tuckwell is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Automotive Safety Research (CASR), part of the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology at the University of Adelaide. She holds a PhD (2023) exploring physical activity as a countermeasure for driver fatigue, alongside a psychology degree and postgraduate qualifications in human factors and safety systems. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary areas including driver fatigue mitigation, human factors engineering, geographic information systems (GIS), and machine learning applications in road safety.
Her work integrates sleep science, driver monitoring systems, and sensor fusion technologies. Key research interests include the impact of sedentary behavior on driving performance under sleep-restricted conditions, and leveraging machine learning for real-time driver state analysis. She has published extensively in journals such as Accident Analysis & Prevention and Transportation Research Part F.
As a co-supervisor, she supports Masters and PhD candidates in road safety research. Her publications since 2020 reflect a growing body of work on workplace ergonomics, cognitive performance under fatigue, and data-driven interventions to enhance road safety outcomes.
