Casey Rampollard is a Research Fellow at Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC), where she has worked since 2012 as a key member of the Injury Analysis and Data team. She coordinates the annual update of the Used Car Safety Ratings (UCSRs) and manages critical vehicle safety research programs.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science and Statistics while serving as MUARC's Safety Officer.
Rampollard specializes in road safety data systems, applying rigorous data science methodologies to analyze traffic crashes, vehicle safety ratings, and injury prevention strategies. Her work bridges transportation engineering, public health, and policy evaluation to address real-world road safety challenges through empirical evidence.
Analysis of her 2022-2025 publications reveals a dominant focus on evaluating safety interventions (speed enforcement, vehicle scrappage trials) and advancing vehicle safety regulations using large-scale crash datasets. Her research consistently targets practical applications for road safety policy in Australasia.
She actively contributes to major funded projects including:
- NSW Automated Enforcement Programs evaluation (2024-2026)
- UnSafe2Safe Older Vehicle Scrappage Trial assessment (2025-2026)
- Socio-demographic impacts on vehicle fleet safety (2024-2026)
- UCSR updates and trend monitoring (2022)
Within MUARC's Injury Analysis and Data team, Rampollard drives data infrastructure development for national road safety initiatives while maintaining operational safety standards as Centre Safety Officer.
