Jeremy Voorhees

Jeremy Voorhees is an Associate Professor at Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture, where he serves as the Architecture Foundations Curriculum Coordinator. His research and design practice examine architecture's role in shaping public spaces and urban communities through cultural/political lenses.

His work focuses on how playful urban events (block parties, markets, festivals) reveal dynamics between public spaces and social engagement. He investigates how spaces of play - where bodies, rules, and users interact - can model democratic access and equity principles.

Voorhees has served as editor for the interdisciplinary journal Enquiry for over a decade, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue between architecture, anthropology, history, engineering, and art.
