Ulysses Sean Vance is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture. His research focuses on accessibility in buildings and designing interventions to improve health and well-being for underserved communities through inclusive decision-making in institutional spaces.

His work examines health disparities in urban environments, addressing adversity and material hardships through physical, social, and behavioral design solutions. Partners include the NCSU College of Design Center for Universal Design, University of Michigan Medical Innovation Center, and Variety the Children's Charity of Delaware Valley.
Current projects with Temple University Urban Workshop explore accessible cabin design for neurologically diverse early adolescents. Awards include recognition from Sheikh Zayed Institute (2012) and Contract Magazine (2004).
