Jens Casper

Professor Jens Casper is a distinguished academic and practicing architect currently holding the Professorship for Design, Building Studies and Architectural Theory at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences since 2023. He is actively involved in both architecture degree programs at the university with lectures, seminars and design studios, and serves on the Study Commission of the Department of Architecture and the selection committee for the Master's program in Architecture.

His research interests focus on architectural theory, building studies, heritage preservation, and experimental approaches to architectural conversion. Casper has developed a particular expertise in garage architecture as evidenced by his influential publication 'Das Garagenmanifest' (2021) and related works.
