Jenny Kragl

Professor Jenny Kragl is a Full Professor of Economics (Microeconomics) at EBS Business School since 2014, previously serving as Assistant Professor there from 2009. She holds a Doctoral Degree and Diploma in Business Administration from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her roles include Head of the Economics Section, Academic Director of the BSc Programme (2018–2023), and membership in the Research Committee and Faculty Council at EBS.

Her research focuses on personnel, organizational, and behavioral economics, particularly other-regarding preferences, income inequality, and incentive contracts. Key areas include envy dynamics, wage transparency, and managerial strategies. She has published in top journals such as Economic Theory, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, and Small Business Economics.

Teaching spans undergraduate and graduate programs in personnel, managerial, and organizational economics. Recent work explores envy's impact on organizational design and collective wage policies, as well as sustainability goals in family firm hiring. Her research bridges theoretical insights with practical implications for managerial decision-making and policy design.
