Jennifer Nadler serves as Associate Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, appointed as full-time faculty effective July 1, 2017. Previously, she was a Visiting Scholar and instructor in Contract Law and Property Law for Osgoode Professional Development’s Common Law LLM Program since 2013.

Professor Nadler's research centers on theoretical foundations of private law, examining contract, property, tort, and unjust enrichment through jurisprudential and literary lenses. Her doctoral dissertation analyzed freedom conceptions in Henry James novels and their private law implications, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to legal theory.
She received the Osgoode Hall Law School Teaching Award in 2014.
Professor Nadler supervises LLM and PhD candidates in private law theory and law and literature, with particular expertise in theoretical frameworks across core private law domains. Her professional engagement includes advising graduate research in conceptual approaches to legal doctrines.
