معرفی
Dr. Jennifer M. Cobcroft is an established researcher affiliated with James Cook University, specializing in aquaculture and marine biology. With over 30 publications spanning two decades, her work focuses on optimizing fish larval rearing techniques, understanding skeletal development anomalies in cultured species, and developing sustainable aquaculture practices. Her research encompasses both commercial species like tuna, salmon, and grouper, as well as ornamental fish species.
Her primary research interests include:
- Larval fish nutrition and digestive development
- Skeletal malformation etiology in cultured fish
- Visual and sensory development of marine larvae
- Broodstock management and spawning techniques
- Sustainable aquaculture feed development
Publication analysis reveals three dominant research streams: 1) larval development studies focusing on feeding behavior, digestive ontogeny and environmental adaptation; 2) skeletal anomaly research examining genetic, nutritional and environmental causes; and 3) aquaculture technology development including feed formulation, hatchery protocols and system design. Her most recent work (2022-2023) shows expanding focus on ornamental species cultivation and hybrid grouper nutrition.
