Jennifer Lobasz is an Associate Professor in Women & Gender Studies at the University of Delaware, with a joint appointment in Political Science until 2021. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Minnesota (2012), specializing in International Relations and Political Theory with a minor in Feminist Studies. Her research focuses on feminist theory, gender studies, human trafficking, and critical security studies, with notable work on intersections between evangelical movements and feminist activism in anti-trafficking efforts.
Her teaching spans courses on feminist international relations, security studies, and pedagogical innovation using non-traditional texts like film and literature. She co-directs the Center for the Study & Prevention of Gender-Based Violence, emphasizing applied research. Key publications include Constructing Human Trafficking (2019) and foundational articles on feminist security frameworks (2009–2014). Her work critiques hegemonic narratives in security policy and gender representation in conflict contexts.
