Jennifer Lansford is the Director of the Center for Child and Family Policy and holds the title of S. Malcolm Gillis Distinguished Research Professor of Public Policy at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy. Her research focuses on youth aggression, family dynamics, and cultural influences on child development. She examines how parenting practices, peer relationships, and global contexts shape adolescent behavior and well-being.
Her current projects include advancing equity in adolescent health through teen pregnancy prevention programs and studying pandemic impacts on global adolescent experiences. Lansford has authored over 200 publications, with recent work addressing climate change effects on families, cross-cultural parenting, and pandemic-related disruptions to education and social systems.
