Jennifer L. Pierce is a full Professor in the Department of American Studies at the University of Minnesota's College of Liberal Arts, with joint affiliations in Sociology and Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies. She previously directed the Center for Advanced Feminist Studies and chaired the Committee on the University of Minnesota Press.
Education:

- MA in Sociology, University of California, Berkeley
Research Focus: Specializes in racialized and gendered workplace inequality, affirmative action backlash narratives, and social justice unionism. Current research examines clerical workers' movements at UC Berkeley from 1967-2022, emphasizing feminist and anti-racist activism.
