Cindy Garcia

Cindy Garcia is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Minnesota, serving as Interim Chair of the Department of Art History. She is affiliated with the Department of Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies and Chicano and Latino Studies. Her work bridges dance and cultural theory, feminist ethnography, and public scholarship. She co-edits the bilingual publication Contours: ArteCalle, focusing on decolonial and activist praxis.
