Jennifer Kramer

Jennifer Kramer is an Assistant Professor of Education at Mount Mercy University. She joined the institution in 2019, bringing 17 years of experience in elementary education. Her expertise includes reading education (K–8 endorsement), mathematics minor (K–8), and teacher training.

Her research interests focus on practical applications of educational methodologies, including diagnostic reading strategies, science pedagogy, and family-nutrition integration in schools. She currently teaches Science Methods, Child and Family Nutrition, and will instruct Diagnostic and Prescriptive Reading and Adolescent Literature later this year.

Outside academia, Kramer actively supervises student teachers and practicum teachers. She previously led the We Power Up tutoring program at Grant Wood Elementary and taught at Wilson Elementary School for a decade. No notable scientific awards are listed, but her community engagement includes religious education and leadership in educational initiatives.

In her personal time, she enjoys yoga, cycling, reading novels, and traveling, recently exploring Maine and NYC.
