Jennifer Henderson is a Professor and Graduate Supervisor at Carleton University, cross-appointed with the Department of English Language and Literature and the School of Canadian Studies. She holds a B.A. from McGill University and M.A. and Ph.D. from York University.

Her research focuses on Canadian literary and cultural studies, settler colonialism, neoliberalism, and feminist/gender studies. She examines intersections of literature, liberal governance, and colonial history, particularly through the lens of childhood trauma and resilience narratives.
Jennifer’s recent work includes the 2025 edited collection The School Promoters, 2023 translation The Eye of the Master, and 2023 chapter on neoliberal Gothic. Her scholarship analyzes neoliberalism’s entanglement with colonial privatization, Indigenous resurgence, and decolonial frameworks.
