Jennifer Hancock serves as Associate Professor and Clinical Anatomist at Mary Baldwin University, holding the inaugural Director of Common Curriculum role since 2024. She is a core faculty member within the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, teaching anatomy, physiology, and related disciplines across physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant programs.
Her educational background includes:
- BA in Biology from Capital University
- PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Ohio University (with clinical anatomy training at their medical school)
Dr. Hancock's scholarly focus centers on clinical anatomy education and curriculum development for health sciences. Her teaching expertise spans foundational biomedical disciplines including neuroanatomy and pathophysiology, emphasizing practical application in professional healthcare training. This work supports MBU's integrated approach to graduate health professions education.
With over 15 years of academic experience since 2008, she previously taught at Marietta College before joining Mary Baldwin University in 2016. Her current leadership in undergraduate general education curriculum design demonstrates sustained commitment to educational innovation and assessment in health sciences pedagogy.
