Matthew Holman is an Assistant Professor for the Exercise Science program at the Murphy Deming College of Health Science, Mary Baldwin University, where he also serves as a licensed athletic trainer (LAT) and Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC).
His educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Appalachian State University
- Master of Science in Health and Movement Sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)
- Currently completing his Ph.D. in Rehabilitation and Movement Science at VCU
Dr. Holman's research centers on how vibrotactile stimulation influences motor behaviors, with expertise spanning human musculoskeletal anatomy and biomechanics. He possesses extensive clinical experience across secondary, post-secondary, and professional athletics, performing arts, and outpatient settings. His teaching portfolio includes undergraduate instruction in anatomy, biomechanics, motor behavior, and professional development courses, reflecting his dual commitment to academic and clinical practice in exercise science.
