Felicia C. Esteban

Felicia C. Esteban, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Program at Mary Baldwin University's Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences. She teaches pathophysiology, anatomy, clinical medicine, laboratory diagnostics, history & physical examination, and clinical seminar courses. Her primary academic goal is training students to become exemplary healthcare providers who address health disparities.

Education & Career:
Dr. Esteban holds a Biochemistry degree from Virginia Tech and earned her MD from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed pediatric residency at Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital and has 19+ years of clinical experience, including current part-time work at Healthy Community Health Center serving underserved populations.

Research Focus:
Her interests center on medical education pedagogy, pediatric medicine, human physiology, and community health equity. She integrates clinical experience into curriculum design to foster balanced medical professionals capable of improving population health outcomes.
