University of Kentuckyمعرفی
Jennifer Doyle is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky's MIC English Program. Her research focuses on racial justice, equity, and educational reform through critical social theory. She employs methods like youth participatory action research (YPAR) to center marginalized voices, especially Black, Indigenous, and Youth of Color (BIYOC), and explores white allyship in anti-racist work. Previously a high school English teacher and teacher-educator at the University of South Carolina, she has researched incarcerated students' perspectives on the school-to-prison nexus. Her work emphasizes community-centered school-university partnerships to combat systemic racism.
Her scholarly contributions include critical autoethnography and collaborative educational models. As Program Faculty Chair for the MIC English program, she bridges academic and activist work. Though no specific awards are listed, her research aligns with national discourses on educational equity and social justice.
Her advising and grants narrative includes her doctoral research facilitation of book clubs with incarcerated students and her role in redesigning Professional Development Schools (PDS) to prioritize community needs. She actively engages in local activism and is a new mother.
