Jennie Vagher

Jennie Vagher is a board-certified genetic counselor and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Utah, affiliated with the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Division of Internal Medicine. She co-directs the Pediatric and Rare Tumor Clinic and specializes in rare cancer predisposition syndromes.

Her research focuses on Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, DICER1 Syndrome, telomere biology disorders, and inherited hematologic malignancies. She collaborates with divisions of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Pulmonology, and Hematology to advance genetic evaluation for cancer and lung diseases.

Recent publications highlight her work in hematologic malignancies in Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, RNA sequencing applications, and newborn screening programs. She contributes to clinical guidelines for sarcoma predisposition and bone marrow failure syndromes.
