Jenna Martin is the Program Director for the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education Graduate Program and an Assistant Professor at Regis College, Regis University.
Education:
- Educational Doctorate in Leadership for Educational Equity: Urban and Diverse Communities from the University of Colorado Denver
- Master's degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Colorado Boulder
Research Interests: Dr. Martin’s scholarly focus centers on enhancing diversity in the teaching profession through the recruitment and retention of teachers of Color. She also investigates culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogies to address equity in urban and diverse educational settings.
Professional Involvement: Dr. Martin actively engages with local and national organizations, including the Colorado chapter of the National Association of Multicultural Education (NAME), the Colorado chapter of the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE), and the annual Teacher of Color and Allies Summit at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is also affiliated with Higher Education Linguistically Diverse Education.
Previous Roles: Before joining Regis University, she served as an Assistant Principal, Dean of Instruction, and English Language Development (ELD) instructional coach in the Denver Public Schools (DPS) district. She has taught ELD, social studies, and English language arts at middle schools in Reno, NV, and Longmont, CO.
