Jeffrey Lim is an Associate Lecturer in the University of Sydney Business School, specializing in Marketing and Decision Sciences. He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, alongside a BCom and M MarkMgt from Griffith University. His research focuses on judgment and decision-making under uncertainty, with a particular interest in decision strategies, decision support systems, and quantitative methodologies. He is a Full Member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society (AMSRS), a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), and Discipline Liaison for the Sydney Marketing Society (SMS).
Jeffrey teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Marketing Research, Marketing Insights, and New Product Development. He emphasizes student well-being, collaborative learning environments, and industry engagement to enhance relevance in his courses. His teaching excellence is reflected in multiple Dean's Citations for Teaching and Tutoring (2009–2017) and nominations for the Wayne Lonergan Award for Outstanding Teaching (2015, 2017, 2018).
His research explores how decision context and information presentation influence judgment, with contributions presented at conferences like the Decision Sciences Institute and International Institute of Forecasters. Jeffrey has received grants, such as the 2019 'Modernization, Megachurches, and the Urban Face of Christianity in the Global South' funded by the John Templeton Foundation.
