Jeffrey Hastings

Dr. Jeffrey Hastings is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, with a focus on cardiology. He is a member of the Division of Cardiology and serves as a cardiologist at the North Texas VA Health Care System in Dallas. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2011.

Dr. Hastings holds a bachelor's degree in physics and a master's degree in solid-state physics from Texas Tech University. He earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center, followed by internal medicine residency training, a cardiology fellowship, and a research fellowship in cardiology and exercise physiology at the same institution.

His research interests span cardiology and exercise physiology, with affiliations including the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine. Professional associations include the Division of Cardiology and the Dallas VA Research Corporation.
