Dr. Jeffrey Hallam is a Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Senior Associate Dean for Research, Practice, and Global Affairs at Kent State University’s College of Public Health. He directs the Healthy Communities Research Institute (HCRI) and holds degrees from The Ohio State University (BS 1988, MA 1991, PhD 1995). His research focuses on theory-based interventions for health behavior change, grief recovery methodologies, and community health promotion. With over 50 peer-reviewed publications and millions in grants from NIH and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, he has held leadership roles at multiple institutions.
