Jeffrey Biegel is an Adjunct Professor of Piano at the Conservatory of Music, part of the School of Visual, Media and Performing Arts at the City University of New York (CUNY). A Grammy-award-winning pianist, educator, and composer, Biegel has commissioned over ten composers to expand piano and orchestra repertoire, performed globally with prestigious orchestras, and pioneered internet-based music recitals in 1997.

His work bridges classical traditions with contemporary innovations, exemplified by his transcription of Balakirev’s 'Islamey Fantasy' and arrangements of pop/jazz works for orchestral settings.
