معرفی
Jeff Mann is a Research Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences at Monash University, specializing in mitochondrial replacement therapy and epigenetic research. He leads projects such as MitoHOPE, focusing on mitochondrial donation in Australia, and collaborates on studies into non-genetic inheritance and glioma pathology. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and innovation.
Research Interests: Mitochondrial therapies, epigenetic regulation in germ cells, preclinical disease models, and the genetic basis of cancer. His projects span molecular embryology, stem cell biology, and translational medicine.
Grants/Projects:
- MitoHOPE (2023–2029): Evaluating mitochondrial donation's clinical outcomes
- Understanding non-genetic inheritance (2023–2026): Exploring epigenetic transmission
- NHOMD (2021–2024): Mitigating risks in mitochondrial donation
Labs/Teams: Part of the Biomedicine Discovery Institute and collaborates with Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and others.
