Jeff Hearn is Professor of Sociology in the Department of Social and Psychological Sciences at the University of Huddersfield's School of Human and Health Sciences. He holds multiple advanced degrees including a PhD from Bradford University, honorary doctorates from Lund University and the University of South Africa, and master's degrees from Oxford and Leeds Universities. His extensive career includes positions at universities across Europe, with current roles including Senior Professor at Örebro University and Professor Emeritus at Hanken School of Economics.
Professor Hearn's research spans critical studies on men and masculinities; gender, sexuality and violence in organizations; globalization and transnational institutions; and social theory. His work frequently addresses men's violence against women and children, organizational dynamics, and intersectional approaches to gender equality. He has authored over 20 books and 280 scholarly outputs, including recent works on digital gender violations and masculinity studies.
