معرفی
Jeff Dawson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Carleton University, Faculty of Science. He holds degrees from the University of Toronto (B.Sc., M.Sc.) and Queen's University (Ph.D.). His research focuses on neuroethology and biomechanics, particularly the auditory sensorimotor integration mechanisms in insects during flight. His lab investigates how insects like moths and locusts evade predators such as bats through rapid flight adjustments. Dawson's work bridges neuroethology and biomechanics, with implications for developing bio-inspired technologies. He oversees a laboratory in the Nesbitt Building and maintains an active research website.
