Jeff Cressman

Jeff Cressman is a Lecturer in Jazz Trombone at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, affiliated with the Collegiate Roots, Jazz, and American Music school. He is a renowned trombonist and recording engineer with a career spanning decades of international collaboration.

Known for his expertise in Jazz, Trombone Performance, and Brazilian Music, Cressman has performed and recorded with legends like Carlos Santana, Tito Puente, and Peter Apfelbaum. His research interests are reflected in his extensive work bridging American jazz and Brazilian musical traditions.

Notable collaborations include 16 years with the Carlos Santana Band (2000-2016), SFJAZZ Collective (2004-present), and projects with SpokFrevo Orquestra. He received critical acclaim for Grammy-winning recordings with Santana and Pacific Mambo Orchestra.
